During the war, the allies were the favorites as they had strong armed forces and military weapons. The allied powers would have won the war if Canada had remained neutral or did not assist. Canada did not contribute that much till the very end of the war. They conjoined with the United States army and it can be said that contributions from the North American nations also made changes. Canada does not have a strong military force as the US does. France fell leaving Great Britain to face the axis power alone. Both English and French are spoken widely in Canada; this would have triggered them to become an allied nation.
Although, the US were supplying weapons to the allies; they would have still won the war without Canada. The axis started with the slow capturing of smaller territories. France and Britain warned the opposition to stop the secret expansion, but Germany refused. They decided to declare war on both France and the United Kingdom. America entered few years later at the closing stages of the war; they are known for providing help to countries. The United States helped the allies in solely defeating a powerful nation.
It got to a stage where some of the axis nations surrendered, Italy is no exception. The French could not hold on for too long in the war before they fell. They were ambushed; their military force could not hold on the opposition’s army. The Italian troops were driven back from expansion by the British troops. It only took some days for Germany to conquer Poland because the Poles were unprepared during the attack. London was devastated by the Germans using air strike attack. Upon all, the UK remained strong throughout the period of the war; it also got to a point where the British could not afford to pay for weapons from the US.
The world war gave countries opportunity to test run new weapons, mainly atomic and nuclear weapons. Russia made use of nuclear equipment while the US made use of atomic bomb. Different nations came up with different war strategies; they had many war prisoners. People were scattered and separated from their respective families; they just found themselves in a different place. Hithler knew he could not defeat both the USA and Great Britain, so he killed himself. Not all parts of the world witnessed the war because some countries decided to remain neutral.
